Nehru Arts & Science College: - Nehru college is the destination of most of the students around this area after school education. This college was formed in the year 1966 as "Nehru College" to honour the memory of Jawarlal Nehru the first Prime Minister of India. It is managed by trust known as "The Nehru Memorial Education Society" under distinguished Presidentship of late Sri.C.K.Nair. The college is affiliated with Kannur University and all most all degree courses are conducted.

Agricultural University: - An Agricultural University College is functioning at Padnekad within the famous Cocunut Research Farm.
